  • Home Page Updates
  • Quick links on the website Home Page have been updated, to enable easy access to the Photo Gallery, Alumni Directory, Updates and Feedback sections of the website.

    While the Photo Gallery and Updates sections are accessible to everyone, only registered members may access to the Alumni Directory and/or offer Feedback.

    Registered members are also invited to share their photos by using the "Photos" link on the right navigation bar on your screen, and selecting "Upload Photo".

  • Symphony 2007 and Newsletters (Sept 2006 - August 2007)
  • Symphony 2007 related information, and Newsletters issued on behalf of the KJSCE Students' Council between September 2006 and August 2007 have been uploaded to the site.

    They can be viewed by clicking on the "Updates" link in the right navigation rail, and clicking on the "College/Alumni Event Updates" link.

    Thanks to Riddhi Shah (Student Representative for Alumni Interaction - 2006-07), and Aviraj Ajgekar (B.E. Computers-2008) for sharing this information with us.

  • Alumni Directory Search Results page update
  • The Alumni Directory Search Results page has been updated to include the First and Last names of the Alumni.

    Based on feedback/suggestions received from Alumni members, several miscellaneous updates have also been made to help make website navigation easier.

  • Slideshows at the Photo Gallery
  • You can now view the Slideshow of any album of your choice at the Photo Gallery.

    Just browse to the Album of your choice, and select the "View Slideshow" link from the navigation pane on the left of the page. You can customize the duration between the photos, the size of the photos and toggle the description with the photo in your slideshow. Use the customization options on the top of the page to change one or more options.

    As always, it is not necessary to be a registered member at the website to view the Photos or the Slideshow. Just click on the "Photos" link from the navigation pane on the home page, and click on "View Photos".

  • Code changes at the website
  • Several minor backend code changes made to the website.

    These changes will eliminate the occassional multiple logins that were required while browsing different login protected pages at the website such as the Alumni Directory, Discussion Forums, etc.

    Clicking on links to login protected pages will also not pop-up the Security Warning window in the browser anymore.

    If you still encounter any of the above issues, please use the Feedback link at the website to let us know.

  • Migration to new hardware platform
  • The website has been migrated to a more robust and redundant new hardware platform. This new platform will ensure greater reliability against unplanned outages due to hardware failures, and will provide a faster response in our browsing experience.

  • Photos from KJSCE Alumni get-together held in the San Francisco Bay Area
  • KJSCE Alumni in living in the San Francsico Bay Area (California, USA) met for an informal dinner get-together on April 15th, 2006. Alumni at the get-together ranged from graduates of 1989 through 2001 - many joining with their family (spouse, kids).

  • Photos from Symphony 2006 published
  • Symphony was organized at KJSCE this year from Feb 22-24, 2006. Photos from the festival have been published in the Photo Gallery under the "Symphony 2006" Album.

    To view these photos, please click on the "Photos" link from the navigation bar to the right, click on "View Photos", and click on the "Symphony 2006" photo album.

    Thanks to Ausmita Kaviraj (Alumni Secretary in the 2005-06 Students Council), for sharing the photos with all of us.

  • New Photo Gallery launched
  • A new Photo Gallery has been launched. Photos are now grouped into separate Albums, with small sized thumbnail images of each photo available for preview within the respective albums.

    The new photo gallery makes it much easier to locate and view specific images of interest, and also provides a marked improvement in the speed at which the photo pages load. If you haven't looked at the Photo pages lately, do check out the photos posted by other Alumni.

    To view photos at the website, please click on "Photos" - "View Photos" links from the home page.

    To upload photos to be published at the website, please click on "Photos" - "Upload Photo" links from the home page.

  • "Country" is no longer a required criteria in Alumni searches
  • It is no longer required to specify a country while looking for Alumni. This means that if you wish to find all your classmates/batchmates registered at the Alumni website, you need to specify only the year (and branch, if desired) of graduation. The search result will list all Alumni in the Alumni Directory matching your search criteria, irrespective of their current country of residence.

    We can now specify ANY one or more search criteria to search for Alumni in the Alumni Directory

    Be sure to check back often. More and more Alumni are registering everyday, as word of the website gets around.

  • Information about Symphony 2006 posted at the Alumni website
  • It's that time of the year again, and Symphony is just around the corner. It keeps getting better with every passing year. However, this is the first time that detailed information about Symphony is available directly to all the KJSCE Alumni.

    You can also download the Symphony 2006 marketing brochure (in .doc format) and the pamphlet (in .doc and .ppt formats) from the website.

    Thanks to Paras Shah (currently in TE-IT) for uploading the pages to the website, and Ausmita Kaviraj (currently TE-Computers) for diligently working to get this information to all of us. Going forward, we expect continued interaction, between the KJSCE students and it's Alumni.

  • New Discussion forum for KJSCE students to directly contact Alumni with PG studies related questions
  • A new Discussion Forum "Post Graduate Studies" has been created at the website. This forum lists names and contact information of KJSCE Alumni who have completed, or are currently pursuing a post-graduate education.

    KJSCE students who have questions, or need guidance about their post-graduate education preparations/options, may contact these Alumni. Please be respectful of the contact method preferences of the Alumnus (listed along with their contact details).

    To access the "Post Graduate Studies" forum, you must login to the website and click on "Discussion Forums". Look for the "Post Graduate Studies" forum under "Further Studies".

    It is suggested that after obtaining specific information from these Alumni, the students should post the gist of the information (such as specific websites of interest, special study tips, etc) on the other two forums under the "Further Studies" category.

    For eg: special tips related to CAT may be posted under the "Study in India" forum, while special tips for GRE or TOEFL preparations may be posted under the "Study Abroad" forum.

    Students should review posted information under all these forums before requesting the Alumni for further information.

    If you are an Alumnus who can make the time to help out too, please review the post under the "Post Graduate Studies" forum for details.

  • Details of each Alumni from Alumni Search Results open in a new window
  • Earlier, after clicking on an individual Alumni record from the Alumni Search result, we needed to go "Back" on the browser and re-submit the Alumni Search query before being able to look for details of another Alumni from the original search result.

    With the changes made, clicking on a particular Alumnus name from the Alumni Search query, will open the detailed record for that Alumnus in a new window. To go back and view details of another Alumnus from your original search, simple close the detail window of the first Alumnus, and click on any other Alumnus name from your original search results.

    To start another Alumni Search, please click on the "Alumni Directory" link on the right hand side navigation bar.

  • The "Events" link has been replaced with the "Updates" Link. The "Updates" page now has two categories:
    a) College/Alumni Event Updates
    This link will point to information about events at the college (such as Symphony, Abhyantriki, seminars, etc), and Events organized by the Alumni (such as get-togethers)

    b) Website Updates
    This link will point to updates made to this website, and other information of interest at this website

  • The FAQs page at the website has been updated. The new page has a format that is easier to read, and has all the Frequently Asked Questions listed at the top of the page. Additonal FAQs have also been included.
